I recently achieved a five figure settlement for a young man who was injured when he was robbed in the parking lot of his apartment complex.  The area had a history of violent crimes.  Therefore the apartment owners hired security guards to patrol the premises.  Inexplicably, at the time of this incident the guards were on duty during the day but not at night.  Of course this incident happened at night and it was forseeable that a crime of this type would occur at night.  The apartment owner had a duty to provide reasonable security services, which includes guards on duty at night.
