Sharon A. Christie is an attorney and nurse...an advocate for patients and families in cases of medical and nursing home negligence...and an advocate for the disabled in obtaining Social Security Disability benefits.
Sharon worked as a nurse in both acute and long-term care settings prior to attending law school. In 1986, she graduated magna cum laude from The University of Notre Dame Law School. She has practiced law since that time and is licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Sharon is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization that recognizes lawyers who have achieved million dollar verdicts or settlements for their clients. In addition, she is AV rated, the highest ranking possible in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. In 2003, Sharon received the Judith P. Ritchey Achievement Award, presented by the Baltimore County Bar Association. In 2008, she was named a Maryland SuperLawyer in Baltimore Magazine.
Sharon lives in Cockeysville, Maryland with her husband, Joe and their Westie, MacArthur. She is an avid runner and has completed the Baltimore Half Marathon. Sharon is also an active in the community. A past president of the Executive Women’s Network, she currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Snyder Foundation for Animals and volunteers with Westie Rescue, Inc.
Professionally, Sharon is an active member of the American Association for Justice, Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, Women’s Bar Association, and the Baltimore County Bar Association.
